Ian Wright knows a thing or two about electric vehicles having been one of the first four people involved with +Tesla Motors


As an automotive engineer, he joined Martin Eberhard, Marc Tarpenning and financial backer Elon Musk at the very beginning in 2003. He left long before the Roadster came to market and went on to create the Wrightspeed X1, until recently the fastest road-legal electric car in the world. During a keynote at the Fleet Technology Expo last week, Wright made it clear that he thinks we are asking the wrong questions when it comes to electrifying vehicles.
