I came of age during the height of Formula One's golden age

Sure today's cars are faster, safer and more fuel efficient. But increasingly restrictive technical regulations intended to make the cars safer and more efficient mean real innovations are increasingly rare. 

In fact, F1 cars have become largely evolutionary over the last two decades. The high nose look with the low-hanging front wing that is a staple today, debuted on the Tyrrell 019 in 1990. Most of the other major aerodynamic features also first appeared in the early 90s, and the changes we've seen since have largely been continuous tweaks based on many hours in the wind tunnel and CFD simulations. The semi-automatic transmissions and other features also debuted around that time. 

The only real powertrain change in the past decade has been the introduction of kinetic energy recovery systems. Crazy new stuff like ground effects, fan cars, and anything more than four wheels is strictly verbotten. It's a shame.

More than 150 people die every year from accidental acetaminophen overdose

Acetaminophen is very effective as a pain killer and avoids many of the gastric issues caused by aspirin and ibuprofen. Unfortunately, it can cause severe liver damage and even death if take too much. Compared to other pain relievers the margin for overdose much, much smaller. Listen to this before you take another Tylenol and whatever you do, don't take it for a hangover.

One of the country’s most popular over-the-counter painkillers — acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol — also kills the most people, according to data from the federal government. Over 150 Americans die each year on average after accidentally taking too much. And it requires a lot less to endanger you than you may know.

For car nuts, England provides a unique breeding ground that has produced some notable and forgettable brands

From the lovely B-roads that inspire the creation of lightweight sports cars to high-technology center of the Formula One universe there is no other place like England. Thanks to the single vehicle type approval regulations, companies can slap some rudimentary fenders, lights and a number plate on a race car and legally drive on the road.

This unique environment means that there is a cottage industry of companies like Caterham, Noble and Keating that can create and sometimes even sell some wickedly fast cars. Unfortunately, it appears that the latest from Keating looks like it was made in a cottage.
