A French appellate court this week overturned a manslaughter conviction against Continental Airlines and one of its mechanics in the case of the 2000 Concorde crash. While reports at the time almost exclusively blamed a tire that blew out after running over a strip of metal on the runway, it appears that there was a cascading series of human errors that ultimately resulted in the crash.
