I wouldn't argue with the selection of Honda's "The Cog" as the greatest car commercial of all time

Some years back, +Honda in the UK created a remarkable commercial for the then-new Accord. Titled "The Cog," the two minute film features one of the coolest Rube Goldberg machines ever made. The most amazing thing is that the 2003 ad uses no CGI and it was done in a single uninterrupted shot all the way through.

Of course getting that one shot was no trivial matter. It took more than six months to create including four months of engineering the sequence of moving car parts (all from the Accord). Once they had it all worked out, it still took 606 takes before the entire sequence worked perfectly all the way through. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/61487/best-car-adverts-ever

This WebRidesTV video is a commercial made by Honda to showcase the Honda Accord. It is a two minute

This is one projection I sincerely hope comes true

It's probably a forlorn hope, but when the Nieman Journalism Lab asked me for a 2013  prediction, I said we'd see a rise in evidence-based reporting.

Do the math

Every time I see something like this I am reminded that humans are not necessarily so special

If people just stopped and spent a bit more time observing animal behavior, they would realize that many of the qualities that we ascribe solely to humanity are in fact not really so unique.
