Alex Roy is perhaps the most entertaining storyteller I know and should be the host of Top Gear alongside Chris Harris. George Hotz is also probably a lot smarter than me. However, what he's doing now is the easy part of the task of developing autonomous control systems. There are nearly 250 million cars on the road in America today, many piloted by yahoos in all manner of conditions and an autonomous system needs to be able to deal with that. So far I've not seen any evidence that Hotz's hubris and bravado have achieved that

Alex Roy knocks another one out of the park. I admire George Hotz's skills and intellect, but frankly I trust Americans with a DIY autonomous kit, even less than I do with a 2016 balllot. Even if his system works in many conditions, I forsee catastrophe
