I know as a public company they have a fiduciary responsibility to maximize profits, but most of these organizations are nothing but mouthpieces for the billionaire class like the Koch brothers and do nothing to contribute in any positive way to the political discourse.
If this is just a way for Google to ensure they don't have to pay more in taxes, it's the wrong thing to be doing. Stop it now Google!?

Good question… Is this an Eric Schmidt thing? I won't be buying any Google products.
Isn't the real problem the fact that the government is controlled by those with excess funds, and not the citizens who are supposedly in charge? Or that the 2-party system, along with "left/right" options are simply psychological dividing points that give the illusion of choice and the control to a single party oligarchy?
"Evil" = "anything that disagreeswith one's Creator. ALL politics are evil by definition: they purport to solve our problems themselves, without our Creator being involved. Thus, to your question: Google+ is no more evil than someone calling a politicaly-conservative group evil for disagreeting with one's politically-liberal creeds. That sword has 2 edges and cuts coming AND going.
Finally, Google funds something good.
