Bill Clinton apologized for personal behavior that had zero real impact on the country just to cover his political back-side. The only reason for signing either DOMA or dont-ask-don't-tell was politics and both of those affected the lives of millions of Americans on a daily basis over the last two decades. Where is your apology now Mr Clinton?

To make amends for DOMA, Bill Clinton should be a much bigger part of the country’s march toward same-sex marriage.

Am I the only one around here that remembers before that policy gay servicemen and women were dishonorably discharged and/or thrown in jail?
It wasn't a Jim Crow law by any means, but a giant step forward.
It was a stepping stone, yes. And Obama did the right thing to repeal it and tell the armed forces to deal with it.
