Ummm, I think the point that is being missed that he is making a business decision in a highly competitive market where his pies are already somewhat higher priced (because they do taste better IMO) and will lose business to lower priced competitors. Also if his product is boycotted, he will not just limit hours (which is actually what he said and (paradoxically will create more part time jobs), the the company and its franchise holders will actually have to reduce total employment. People will in fact lose jobs in that cas.
I'd prefer buying pizza from one of several locally owned shops that make great pies, better than anything from a chain.

Won't argue with that. We get our pizza from a collection of transplanted NYC guys that call themselves the NY Pizza Department. I just hate to see someone mis-quoted
