Bullshit live log: 2

Bullshit live log:

Romney says he wants to grow Pell Grants:

Under the Ryan budget, more than 1 million students would no longer be eligible for Pell grants in the next decade, according to Education Trust, and those who did qualify would receive less aid.

Romney claims domestic oil production is down because permits were not granted. This is not true:

Attention Corvette fans 8

GM will be holding a press conference on Thursday morning at Road Atlanta (ahead of the Petit Le Mans this weekend) to make an announcement about the C7. No details available yet, but since it includes chief engineer Tadge Juechter, ALMS drivers Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner and Corvette Racing Team Mgr Gary Pratt they will presumably at least confirm that a new C7R will be running in ALMS in 2013.

Frankly, this shouldn't come as a shock to anyone 13

Because we allowed our largest providers to choose incompatible network technologies, we have artificial barriers to switching unlike many other parts of the world that use GSM where users can just swap in a different SIM card and be on a new network.

Of course consumers have to take a lot of the blame too for falling for the subsidized phone, 2-year contract business model.  Because we get suckered into what appear to be cheap phones up front, we pay more over time on the contract.

On the other hand, there is no incentive for consumers to go contract-free since they don't get better rates even if the phone is paid for.
