Earlier this week, my daughter Sofie noticed that the hens had climbed up on top of the coop for the first time (that we know of!). Since then they have been hanging out up there pretty regularly. Hopefully the the hawk that can occasionally be seen overhead doesn't notice them there. I caught the hens on video as they made their way to ground level.

Love their plumage. If you have a dog it may help keep the hawk at a distance while it is out there I would imagine.
