I love tech and cars but I think a flying car or more accurately "roadworthy" plane is probably not something we really need. What do you think?

The father of one of my wife's friends invested heavily in Terrafugia. He's hoping to SOON take possession of his Transition. All I know is I want to ride/fly in it.
I saw one that was done with a canvas skin and a boxter engine in a Baja style car. I think that makes more sense. It's ready to go where other transportation can't. Flying car invented by CBR missionary friend.
The one in the video you posted just looks like a rich boy's toy. But I'm a practical guy.
