    There weren't many specifics in the article as to the precise cause of the incident, so it's hard to comment. Here is what I do know: After 10,000 miles in my Chevrolet Volt so far: 100% flawless. Absolutely bullet-proof. And that includes 3,000 miles worth of 10 de-facto back-to-back "endurance tests" at 75 MPH for 300 miles without stops, across the deserts an up/down the mountains. Performed like a total champ and never blinked even for a second. Have you heard of anyone else with a problem with a Volt? I haven't, but could obviously have missed something…

    I sincerely hope they make it too. A lot of people have put a great deal of effort into bring the Karma to market which is no easy task as anyone from Aptera, Bright, Phoenix and Zap will surely confirm.

    As I've said repeatedly, building cars in anything more than one-off concept numbers is really hard and a lot more people fail than succeed in the attempt.
