Let me offer a small piece of advice to my G+ followers, do not armor-all to the treads of your tires

Tire treads are not supposed to be shiny.  I would assume that the owner of this otherwise lovely 1967 +Ford Motor Company  #Mustang doesn't generally drive in the rain, but even on dry pavement, this is not good for traction. This is especially true if you have installed a more modern fuel injected 5.0-liter HO V8.

Just because a modern #Mustang might have the base V6 under the hood, that doesn't mean it's just a secretary's car

Jack Baruth decided to look for the best $30,000 sports car by pitting the Scion FR-S against a five year old +Porsche Boxster. While the Porsche beat the Scion, he also found a remarkably capable alternative at the same price point, a brand new +Ford Motor Company Mustang V6 with the Mayhem package.

Brought to you by the same team that created the marvelous Boss 302, even the "entry level" V6 engine generates more than 300 hp and a fairly stout 280 lb-ft of torque. Some things do indeed get better with age?

The Comparison: Accelerated Depreciation
It used to be that the best car you could buy for $30,000 was inevitably a new car, but now that cars are lasting longer, the choice is no longer a forgone conclusion. So which is best: a new FR-S, or a used Porsche Boxster?

If you only watch Mad Men on TV or Netflix, you probably missed a cool special feature on the season 4 DVD set

Filmmaker Cicely Gilkey produced a 30 minute documentary for the box set that takes a look at how +Ford Motor Company developed and marketed the original 1965 #Mustang. Along with lots of archival footage including some cool old TV ads, she interviewed Mustang biographers John Clor and Bob Fria. You can get the DVD set here http://www.amazon.com/Mad-Men-Season-Jon-Hamm/dp/B0038M2AOG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375278463&sr=8-1&keywords=mad+men+season+4+dvd?

Mustang Marketing Documentary from ‘Mad Men’ DVD Tells How the First Pony Car Was Really Sold in the Sixties | Ford Media Center

Authenticity is at the heart of what makes the AMC drama “Mad Men” so appealing to both fans and critics – the look, the attitude, the personalities, and the way it all weaves into real life. That same quality applies to Ford Mustang, and has helped the pony car capture the hearts and minds of millions of fans around the world for almost 50 years.

During the development of a new car, some of the most hard fought battles can be over the name and the badge

The +Ford Motor Company #Mustang was no exception, with many different names under consideration including Torino and Cougar, although ultimately the pony won out.

I think the 1970 +Ford Motor Company #Mustang Milano concept actually had more influence in Australia than here

The mid-1970s Falcon XB coupe bears a stronger resemblance to the Milano concept than any Mustang, wouldn't you agree? http://www.roadandtrack.com/features/web-originals/photos-mustangs-and-the-path-not-taken#slide-12

As I approached the Ann Arbor Rolling Sculpture Car Show, it was fitting that the first machine I encountered was this

A lovely 1965 +Ford Motor Company #Mustang fastback.  Notice those three gills in the headlight sockets, nice detail that echoes the tri-bar tail lamps.
