My first quick drive of the precursor to the new +Ford Motor Company C-Max Energi back at the 2008 New York Auto Show. At the time then chief engineer Greg Frenette projected that a full production PHEV could be on sale within five years and Ford has beat that by nearly a year.

Ford's first production plug-in hybrid, the 2013 C-Max Energi now has an official price tag $33,745. Thanks to the larger lithium ion battery found in the C-Max, the Ford is eligible for an increased $3,750 federal tax credit allowing the final cost to undercut the Prius PHV with an effective price of $29,995 making it the least expensive plug-in hybrid in America. 

The debut of the C-Max Energi comes more than 4 years after Ford first began testing a fleet of plug-in Escapes. I had a chance to drive one of those prototypes way back in March 2008 http://green.autoblog.com/2008/03/26/abg-first-impression-ford-escape-plug-in-hybrid-w-video/

How in the world lying on the news is still legal here in the US is beyond me.  I can't see any rational reason for it. Can someone explain?

In all the +Marissa Mayer coverage, there has been surprisingly little said about one of the most significant achievements in her tenure at Google — the success of the Associate Product Manager program she conceived and ran.  According to the Yahoo press release over 300 highly coveted CS grads with potential CEO skills came into Google through this initiative, and Mayer set out to mentor all of them.  It's not too much of a leap to expect some of them (many of whom are post-Google already) to take jobs at Yahoo.
