If you want to swap out your phones more often than every 2 years, don't waste your money with +AT&T or +Verizon Wireless

Just go straight to +T-Mobile or Ting so you don't get double-dipped on the cost of the hardware.

Blogs are often accused of making money off the backs of "real" journalists by aggregating news

The Economist recently reversed that process by lifting content from a blog verbatim. Unfortunately no one bothered to check the veracity of the story, lifting it from http://autoblopnik.com/

I'm sure that in this case Otto had no problem seeing his work "stolen"

The Economist Accidentally Plagiarizes From Parody Car Website
The internet. It’s tricky. One thing you learn at the beginning is to vet your sources. Make sure they’re reliable. That’s something that The Economist, a super legitimate publication apparently hasn’t learned yet. They just took words from a parody site as fact and published them. Whoooops.

Oh no problem, just get a second job and turn off the heat

Reshared post from +Esther Schindler

McDonalds Launches a Website To Help Workers To Budget. Suggestions include getting a second job, spending $0.00 on food & heat, and $20 on health insurance.

McDonalds Tells Workers To Budget By Getting A Second Job And Turning Off Their Heat
McDonalds has partnered with Visa to launch a website to help its low-wage workers making an average $8.25 an hour to budget. But while the site is clearly meant to illustrate that McDonalds workers should be able to live on their meager wages, it actually underscores exactly how hard it is for a low-paid fast […]

I'm all for biodiversity, but can anyone explain why skunks shouldn't be exterminated?

Last night I let the dog out before going to bed and instead of just doing her business and coming back in, she made a beeline for the trees where she got sprayed directly in the face by a waiting skunk.

She returned to the deck foaming at the mouth and shaking her head trying unsuccessfully to eliminate the spray. Needless to say, I spent the next half hour sponging Rosie down with a mix of water, baking soda and peroxide while it continued to rain and mosquitoes attacked.

Hopefully Rosie has learned her lesson, but I will only be taking her out on the leash after dark from now on.

I just have to say the new web version of the +Google Play store SUCKS!

I just have to say the new web version of the +Google Play store SUCKS!

I used to be able to click through and see what was installed on various devices and click on updates to push out. Now it just has a list of every app I've ever installed even if I removed it 5 minutes later and it thinks all of them are still installed. There is no way to filter by device or remove uninstalled apps from the list.

Please Google, don't be like Apple and go backwards with new updates. Simplification for the sake of simplification is not an improvement.

Android Apps on Google Play
Shop Google Play on the web. Purchase and enjoy instantly on your Android phone or tablet without the hassle of syncing.

If only cable companies would make sports part of a separate bundle! 9

Our household is one of the 96% that doesn't regularly watch sports so I don't want to pay for it.  There is no reason for golf, tennis, baseball, basketball or football ever to be beamed into my home.

Cable providers consider cutting out sports to lower your TV bill
Sports programming is driving up your television bill, and cable providers aren’t happy about it. Though football, basketball, and baseball may seem to be some of the most watched content around,…
