We frequently hear conservative Republicans whining about poor kids that get free lunches in school and families that get by with the help of food stamps. However, they almost never talk about corporate welfare programs that help make the Walton family among the richest in the history of the world.
Read Walmart's own filings with the SEC and you'll find that the company acknowledges that a big portion of its profitability comes from the fact they they do it by underpaying employees and letting them rely on public assistance. This is why I refuse to shop at +Walmart. I'd rather support companies like +Costco that pay employees a living wage and benefits but still manage to make a lot of money. ?
