There are a lot of good reasons not to buy single serving coffee makers, and now Keurig provides another with DRM

K-cups are incredibly wasteful and can't be readily recycled because of the mix of materials. That means they end up clogging landfills. Now Keurig is adding DRM so you can even use third-party cartridges.?

Keurig is locking down its coffee makers to keep out cheap refills
Green Mountain dominates the single-serve coffee market with its popular Keurig brewers and K-Cups, the little plastic pods that now come in over 200 licensed varieties. The rise of Keurig has…

The kids at +Road & Track made their picks of the 51 coolest cars of the last half century, which would you choose?

I agree with most of them, although there are some I would have left off the list. A couple of my favorites are the +McLaren Automotive F1 and the Lotus Elise. ?

The 51 Coolest Cars of the Last 50 years
Half a century of art and speed. A panel of rock stars, racing drivers, designers, and the R&T staff—thinking, driving, arguing. No rankings, though a few icons got extra love. And 51 for 50 years, because there’s always room for one m

Those that know me IRL have heard my rants on press releases in PDF form for many years

Sadly +Audi USA has taken this unfortunate practice to a new low. They are publishing press releases that are converted to images and then pdf so you cannot even search for a text string.

Let me say this once and for all to all PR people. Do NOT publish press releases as PDF files. This serves no useful purpose for media and just makes it harder to copy quotes. Please keep it as simple as possible with plain text files and separate images!?

Wow, the Porsche 919 Hybrid is TINY!

This Is Porsche’s 919 Prototype In Full Le Mans Race Trim
Up until now, we’ve only seen the Porsche 919 Hybrid LMP1 car in swirly-wirly camouflage. Not anymore. The car that heralds Porsche’s return to Le Mans after more than a decade will wear this simple gray-on-white livery.

Evidently Aaron Paul learned a thing or two while filming Need for Speed

He put in quite a respectable time in the reasonably priced Astra on Top Gear this evening.?

Top Gear Season 21, Episode 5 Video Open Thread
Tonight’s episode was the last regular one of the season. Two more are left, but they are two parts of a belated special. With all the car-related business out of the way for the next few months we can reflect on, well, not much at all really, because it’s Top Gear. But that’s okay, because that’s still pretty good.

This Mustang Represents The Prettiest Mustangs
Welcome to Little Car in the Big City, where I highlight fascinating cars I found walking around a town that is known for being bigger than everything else, but where every car is fighting to stand out: New York, New York.
