I've always been a big fan of the Martini racing livery on various cars and it would be great to see in on the +Audi – Vorsprung durch Technik LMP1 cars

What would an Audi R18 race car look like wearing Martini Racing livery? Well, the guys at Koda Factory have put their artistic talent to work with several renderings.

EAA will again be auctioning off a special aviation-themed Ford Mustang for the Young Eagles program at AirVenture

+Ford Motor Company created a one-off Mustang inspired by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team in honor of their 60th anniversary. Alas, because of the budget sequester, the team are not performing this year, but when they do fly again, they are worth checking out for any aviation fans.

An interesting look at how Mad Men portrayed the bloodiest year of the Vietnam War in the just concluded season

How Mad Men Fought Vietnam
For U.S. soldiers and their families, 1968 was the deadliest year of the Vietnam War, and this season of Mad Men reflected that. In this video essay, we explain the references and allusions Mad Men used to comment on this violent year—especially in its treatment of the Chevy account. (Thanks to Amanda Marcotte, Kevin B. Lee,…

We spend more on prisons than education and more on the military than the next 14 countries combined

What's wrong with this picture?

WTF is wrong with Americans? | so funny
Can you please reference one source that does not require me to wear sunglasses to protect my eyes from the shiny reflection from the sea of tinfoil hats, please? ‘Cause I can’t find any. And while you’re at it, maybe try some math. 47000 cases of paralysis is lower than 350000.

I wonder how many of the white people that voted in Louisiana could pass this test

Many of the questions are deliberately worded in ways that almost anyone under pressure to do it in 10 minutes at a polling place would have a hard time. You actually have think hard about the construction of the sentence to be clear on what is intended and chances are that the poll workers administering it would mark at least one wrong even if they were all right and you would have a hard time arguing about it.

Take the Impossible “Literacy” Test Louisiana Gave Black Voters in the 1960s
This week’s Supreme Court decision in Shelby County v. Holder overturned Section 4(b) of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which mandated federal oversight of changes in voting procedure in jurisdictions that have a history of using a “test or device” to impede enfranchisement. Here is one example of such a…

The first American car chosen by +Jalopnik for its future classics series is the +Ford Motor Company Mustang Bullitt

I couldn't agree more. Out of all the Mustangs I've spent time with, the 2008 Bullitt is my personal favorite. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/07/in-the-autoblog-garage-2008-ford-mustang-bullitt/

I always liked a more understated look in my Mustangs which is why I opted for the '91 5.0LX when I bought my first one way back in 1990. I never cared much for extra wings and spoilers, and I loved the black 5-spoke wheels on the Bullitt. I drove GT500 a couple of weeks after the Bullitt despite the extra 200 hp, I preferred the nimble feel of the lighter machine.

Why The Ford Mustang Bullitt Is The Next Great Future Classic
We have yet to feature an American car on Future Classics, and that is an oversight I plan to correct today. And I will do so in the most American way possible — with a V8-powered Ford Mustang that takes its name from a Steve McQueen movie famous for a car chase.
