In album Edsel Ford’s First Mustang
I had been looking for photos of the 1960s German-market #Mustang known as the T5. At first glance, with the fender-mounted mirrors I thought this was an example of a T5. It wasn't until I zoomed in on the rear gas cap which I expected to be marked as T5 that I noticed it actually said EBF II (aka Edsel B. Ford II, great-grandson of Henry).

After a bit more research, I determined that Dec. 27, 1964 was Mr Ford's 16th birthday. He granted me an interview, where I learned that his father Henry Ford II, had the design studio prepare this one-off Mustang fastback for him. ?

Awesome
That is one sweet Mustang.
Beautiful & original…love it
As far as I know round dash gauges did not appear until the 1966 mustang. Earlier years had, e.g., a rectangular speedometer.
Nice all original.
Very nice clean tight looking car.
+Jeffrey Butler That's correct. There are lots of details on this particular car that were not stock. In the story, I describe how Henry Ford II had the car specially built for his son, Edsel II for his 16th birthday. Edsel drove the car regularly for about four years before it was sadly destroyed in an accident (he wasn't driving and no one was hurt).
+Jeffrey Butler my 1964.5 has round gauges… as far as I know, the only different gauges came in the GT pack…
