My wife wants a German Shepard, but I don't want to have to clean up after him, and the kitteh is more cuddly/less slobbery. Plus, I've gotten over the death of my dear Golden Retriever, which my wife gave me a year before we married, as a birthday present. Long story, but he died while in my idiot father's care, while we were in Hawaii, getting married. Not a good thing to come home to. I loved that dog. Seriously.
