Can you do this from the mobile app?
Okay, that's just awesome.
+Ray Wert have you seen this? Now built into G+ natively!
+Andrew Daley Yes, If you just upload a series of photos to a G+ album, it analyzes them and then automatically generates the animation without even asking
Very cool! Do they apply this effect to any of your existing photos or only to newly uploaded ones? And can you see the animation while scrolling through your library or is there a little icon somewhere on the thumbnail letting you know it's animated? Thanks!
+Frank Marotta Jr As I understand it, they are going back and analyzing anything that has been uploaded to G+ and looking for what look like burst mode shots that would make a good animation and then rendering it without any user intervention. The additional animated image just appears in the album alongside the original photos.
Similarly the system is analyzes existing albums to produce the highlights (leaving out blurry or otherwise unattractive images). All the originals are still there when you click see all but when you go to the highlights page it just shows the selected images.
+Sam Abuelsamid okay, thanks. I guess these new features are best appreciated on the desktop because I don't see anything new looking through my photos on my phone.
Another reason to switch away from the iHype, +John Bartholomew.
