This is a fascinating idea that a colleague and I were discussing last week

Lincoln could certainly use some unique products alongside increasingly well equipped Ford brand vehicles. If Ford were to do this they should follow the plan that Bob Lutz was planning for VL Automotive. http://youtu.be/nfw9DYNZJCs

However instead of a Chevrolet LS9 from the Corvette ZR1, they could do a base model with a higher output 400+ hp version of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 and a flagship with the 662-hp supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500 Mustang.

Could Fisker Save Lincoln?
Nobody seem to know what to do with Lincoln, which is just getting over its amazingly dull Superbowl ad failure. What if they merged with another totally-screwed carmaker, Fisker?

This is not actually a very practical attack

In order for this to work, you would have to root the phone, install a custom recovery image, reboot and then have the person with the unlock code enter it before freezing the phone. Oh yeah and you have to pull the battery and re-insert within 0.5 seconds.

While I'm sure iPhone owners would appreciate an updated keyboard, what Apple… 5

While I'm sure iPhone owners would appreciate an updated keyboard, what Apple really needs to do is just loosen its stranglehold on iOS

While it's certainly nice that Apple wants to give its users a consistent experience, as long as they control iOS and the hardware it runs on they can assure the out-of-box experience is predictable. This is unlike the +Android experience which can vary widely depending on which brand of phone you buy.

However, Apple could do its users a huge favor by simply allowing them to change the default apps the way Android has done since version 1.0. Whether it's browsers, mail clients or keyboards, let people select the apps they want to use.

Hey Apple, What The Next iPhone Really, Really Needs Is A Much Better Keyboard | TechCrunch
What the next iPhone really really needs is not an even bigger screen, flatter icons, flexible widgets or live tiles, or even crystal-ball-gazing cards. Or Facebook Home. That list is just garnish com…

Mental health care is important and there are real problems that people need help with

I don't want to discount the importance of mental health, but it seems clear that in recent decades under the influence of the pharmaceutical industry, mental health care has devolved into more of a money machine than a concern for what is in the best interests of the patient.

For years, the diagnosis of mental illness has largely relied upon one book — the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM. Published by the American Psychiatric Association…
