Who makes the VPN hardware/software that you got this message on? I am curious.
Yeah, some NETGEAR routers that do SSL VPN do similar things, ultralight VPN client is installed via ActiveX hook. Anything that isn't IE is basically labeled as Netscape. But in reality, nothing other than IE can support these clients. There is no way to do this in FF/Chrome as securely as it can be done in IE (using MS security standards/protocols).
