Some years back, +Honda in the UK created a remarkable commercial for the then-new Accord. Titled "The Cog," the two minute film features one of the coolest Rube Goldberg machines ever made. The most amazing thing is that the 2003 ad uses no CGI and it was done in a single uninterrupted shot all the way through.
Of course getting that one shot was no trivial matter. It took more than six months to create including four months of engineering the sequence of moving car parts (all from the Accord). Once they had it all worked out, it still took 606 takes before the entire sequence worked perfectly all the way through. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/61487/best-car-adverts-ever

Related, it was because of this company that I got to spend a month in Cardiff.
This is such an awesome ad – I still have a DVD copy of it I got with my Honda Jazz. Occurs to me that it would have been infinitely more successful if it was released in today's world of viral/social media/youtube
