Aside from 2-seaters, retractable hard-top convertibles have always sucked. The storage space required to stash enough hardware to cover two rows of seats has inevitably led to poorly proportioned vehicles with extra long rear decks like +Volkswagen USA Eos, +Chrysler Sebring and +Lexus USA SC430 and IS250/350. In addition to the styling flaws, hard-tops take a lot more storage space often leaving little or no trunk space.

Skyliners are awesome. Just not for using the trunk.
I would be OK with retractable hardtops if they truly were the best of both worlds and didn't make so many compromises.
