They lost the electoral college, the presidential popular vote, the senate and popular… 2

They lost the electoral college, the presidential popular vote, the senate and popular vote for the house of representatives (winning the majority of seats only because of gerrymandering). To blame these losses on higher than expected turnout in urban areas is absurd.

Republicans need to come to grips with the fact that most people in America live in urban areas and address the issues that those Americans face on a daily basis. Until that happens they will continue to lose and with good reason.

I was watching some of the rallys and I think I figured out the problem. Most of the people that the GOP hangs out with are other well-off to rich white people like them. Because that's all the hang out with, they get the false sense that that is the aveage for the country because it's the average for them. They are failing to grasp that most people are middle to poor incomes and there are a lot of ethnic people around. I've seen this effect a lot with other social groups. Smart people hang out with other smart people and have a bloated idea of the average level of intelligence for most people.

But no lower class or ethnic people are going to hang out with them until they change, and they likely won't change until there are more lower class or ethnic people around… catch 22.
