Our kids will one day laugh at us and wonder why it took so long to nationally legalize gay marriage. I do not know the answer…
Interestingly, every time there's been a referendum on gay marriage, it's been shot down. Except yesterday. Yesterday was a hell of a statement.
There's also been (apt) comparison to the black civil rights movement in the 60s–and you'd think that blacks would turn out in droves to give the LGBT community support but it just hasn't been the case.
I think its such a pile of hypocrisy when blacks or any group who's had their rights taken away oppose LGBT rights. I recognize that it stems from religion and a large percentage of blacks are very religious but it's still ridiculous!
