It would be nice if this were to happen, but unfortunately those that wield the real power in America (aka the plutocrats) will never let it happen because they want fewer people to vote, not more.

Everyone has the opportunity and should they not choose to exercise that opportunity, they need to accept that responsibility.
Anyone can demand time off paid to go vote. You can't be denied or fired because of it. Like jury duty.
+Jess Nut do you have any documentation of that? I know a few people who could really use it, but who have terrible bosses that wouldn't hesitate to fire them without much provocation.
Most if not all states offer early or voting by mail, so there's really no excuse for anyone not to vote.
Looks like the rules depend on what sort of job and in what state.
