There are some amazingly good vehicles on this list and almost all of them really impressed me when I drove them in the past. In fact several of them are among my favorite vehicles in their segments including the +Ford Motor Company Flex, +Mazda USA 5 and the Miata. I've never driven the current Volvo V70 and I thought the Suzuki Kizashi was a mixed bag of nice styling, good chassis and a decidedly underwhelming powertrain.

Only 571 Miatas ? That's a sad story. Just got my second one and it is a blast to drive.
+Isaac Katzenelson It's a shame but sports cars really are a niche product and we should be greatful that Mazda has hung in there for so long with the Miata. Thankfully they have a deal with Alfa Romeo to share a platform for the next generation model and a new Alfa roadster
I'm really excited about the next gen miata, their goal is to get it down to the weight of the original, which would be amazing.
I wish more people would get over the idea that you need a big car or lots of space. A second gen miata was my only car for a long time, and it was more than enough – runs to BJs, weekend trips, even packing up enough for a vacation in NH (with some creative use of space). I can't imagine most people need more space than that, and even so a Fit or Fiesta should be plenty.
Ok, rant over 🙂
+Tristan Cunha while I agree with you on smaller, lighter cars I assume you have no kids
Yeah, no kids. But if you need to hold 4 people, there's always 2 miatas (as long as they don't need rear facing baby seats).
But there are so many people that have 2 SUVs, and use one of them to commute to work by themselves every weekday. Too many cars are bought for the "worst case scenario", instead of what they'll most likely be used for everyday.
The one and only vehicle I've ever owned (and still have) is an NB Miata. I got it six years ago and have done everything with it from taking it camping in Yosemite (snow!) to driving it cross country (fun!) to going through architecture school with it (cramped!). I'm probably a little nuttier about it than most, but I really think most people buy more car than they need. How many SUVs have never been at full capacity nor off-road, and how many pickup trucks have never carried anything in the bed? I bet the numbers are much higher than people would want to admit.
I'm also shocked at how poor the Cayman's sales are. Guess they must be selling them all in the Bay Area because I see a lot of them running around there.
+Tristan Cunha with 3 kids the miata is a second car. Even getting the kids to camp in the morning is an ordeal with the miata. On the other hand, last week the wife and I did a morning trip in the Santa Cruz mountains, we had a blast.
Or maybe everyone that wants a miata already have one? Isn't it the best selling convertible of all time? And a lot of enthusiasts prefer the early miatas as the most miata-y. Not to mention that they might also be the most reliable sports car you can find.
