Inside Line speculatively renders what they think the next generation Mustang will look like. Rumor has it that heavily retro 60s-inspired look of the current S197 Mustang will give way to a modern style that draws heavily on 2011 Evos concept.
This new rear drive platform is expected to include the first independent rear suspension since the previous generation SN95 Cobra. Hopefully this new model will benefit from the weight reduction efforts going on throughout the Ford lineup.
I like this direction, still looks like a Mustang but brings the design into the 21st century. What do you think?

That front end is nice. But the rear has too much lighting going on.
My favorite is still the 2005-2010 model (see mine on avatar).
The 2010-current had a great front end, but the rear was terrible.
Well, the most recent tweaks to the current Mustang show that the design has lost its legs and needs a major overhaul. They had five good years on the retro look, 2005-10, that brought the car back with customers. Can't do retro forever.
