Glad to see this. If ferrari is going EV it has definately hit mainstream. This will clear up many people's impression of EV's as undesirable and should pave the way to more large scale R&D into batteries, charging, and smart grid infrastructure that we need to stay competitive in the US.
+Jim Benson I think you are greatly overestimating the mainstream appeal of EVs at this point and Ferrari's intentions in particular. Ferrari has made it clear they have no intention to produce full EVs anytime in the foreseeable future. What we have here is just another hybrid configuration that will help Ferrari meet CO2 and noise regulations in the coming years without changing the basic nature of their cars.
+Sam Abuelsamid You are probably correct in that I am over estimating their appeal, but whether Ferrari's intends it to or not, their implementation of hybrid technology (hopefully plugin hybrid) will accelerate the mass appeal in many gear head's mind.
