It is so much easier to take the OS upgrades into your own hands, then you get what you want. The community (developer) is very helpful in helping move things along.
I have been looking for ICS for my Droid Bionic, but cannot find a compatible ROM that will make the camera work. Have you seen any in your hunt for ICS?
+James Dionne Gummy 0.9, they have builds for 17 different devices now http://rootzwiki.com/topic/21452-mirrors-for-gummy-09-downloads/
Does this forum have a good how 2? I have read a few but would like to know the specifics for this release.
+James Dionne All of the recent VZW moto phones are pretty similar. Once you get the phone rooted, install +Koushik Dutta's recovery bootstrap for you phone http://bit.ly/HikBrV and then do a nandroid backup.
Once you've backed up your initial state, then just copy the rom and gapps zip files to the sd card and boot to recovery to wipe and install zip from sd card.
