Audacity is one of the best open source apps I've ever used and I'll definitely be grabbing this new version.

I've been using it for quite some time now, and I have to say that I really like it. Works perfect, easy to use, and free. What mor could you want?
I tried using audacity to edit my music (less bass, no lyircs, etc). Couldn't figure it out. I tried to use it as a converter as well with no luck. hahah It's beyond me, but I hear you can do all of that with relative ease.
It's a great app but it's really not easy to use. It's missing some features around the UI that would be awesome. At the same time it has features that no one else is doing as well. The ability to sample a sound and remove it is incredibly useful.
I love it. As a DJ some tracks are just set up wrong to drop into mixes. I can cut, move, swap pieces around, it's great.
