These guys are scary looking because of their size, but actually quite docile around people

The steel blue cricket hunter is about 1 1/4 inches long but I can stand in the middle of a swarm of them and never get touched. If you're a cricket on the other hand, watch out!

These big #wasps  are avid pollinators for oregano and fennel among other plants and also go after other pest insects. ?
